The 27th Annual West Point Crab Carnival will be held Friday, October 2 and Saturday, October 3, 2009.
This annual event, sponsored by the West Point - Tri-Rivers Chamber of Commerce, usually held the first weekend in October, is famous throughout Virginia. It is held in the downtown area of historic West Point.
The 25th Annual West Point Crab Carnival was held Friday, October 5 through Saturday, October 6, 2007. Some of the events from 2007 included the Tour de Crab (children's bike races), the Fireman's Parade, Woodman's Competition, Wrestling Demonstration and the Crab Carnival Parade. Arts and Crafts, food, refreshments, entertainment, and fireworks round out this annual gathering.
