The Town of West Point is located in King William County, Virginia at the confluence of the Mattaponi and Pamunkey Rivers where they flow into and form the York River. West Point is a short drive from Colonial Williamsburg and convenient to Richmond, Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, and Virginia Beach.
The Town of West Point is governed by a Mayor and a seven-member Town Council elected to four-year alternating terms. The Town is administered under the Council-Manager form of government. The town slogan is - Three Rivers, Two Bridges, One Special Place.
